Our servers are getting moved from one data center to another. The move should give us a faster/more reliable connection to the internet as well as a much better battery/generator backup in case of power failure. We had an outage earlier this year cause by the power company and this new data center will be equipped to run the server on a generator for days without power. The data center move will take place Friday 9/25/09 from 7pm to 9pm EST. I don't think that we will be down for the whole 2 hours, but it is hard to accurately predict these kinds of things.

We have recently changed a few IP addresses, our web and eMail servers. We made sure that the DNS system was appropriately updated to minimize the length of the interruption.

We will always work our hardest to keep our servers up 24x7x365 so that you will always have access to your data where and when you need it. Even with this, there are still times that you need to take the server down for some maintenance. Today, the server will be down while the network connections are upgraded. This should provide better throughput and faster retrieval time for our services. This work will start at 8pm EST and will last less than 1 hour. We are sorry for any problems this may cause.

We have done another minor update that includes a few additional bug fixes and tweaks based on the ongoing Beta usage. I would like to thank all of the members that are using Organize Us with their family or group. We constantly talk with our members and are trying to find out what is and what is not working. For those of you not using it yet you should sign up and try the beta. |

We have been getting some great feedback from the beta program. One of the advantages of using a hosted application like Organize Us is the ability for us to fix bugs and add or update features without the our members having to install of change anything. To make sure that we don't break any of the features that our members are using, we always validate any changes against our automated testing suite before they go live on our servers. As always, we encourage comments, suggestions, and even complaints from our members through our support department. |

Please remember that the software is in Beta and is not exactly complete yet. We think that the functionality is complete enough for you to get a lot of value from our product. In addition, the Beta will give us some time to kick the tires on the software. Bugs and feedback can be reported to support. |

In addition to working hard on testing and updating the product daily, the Organize Us Software Inc. family is doing its best to spread the word about the company and to also support the community. On October 4, the company participated in the 10th annual Samaritans 5K Run/Walk as team OrganizeUs.com and raised over 400$ in support of a wonderful organization. It was a gorgeous fall day and the sun was shining brightly as over 1000 people ran and walked around the Charles River. Our team wore our OrganizeUs.com t-shirts, which we wear proudly and often, in order to spread the word about this innovative product.

It has been a busy few months for Organize Us Software Inc.! We have officially incorporated and named Michael McGrath President, Architect and Lead Engineer. Mike has 12 plus years of experience writing collaboration software and group-ware for large business customers. In the past couple of years Mike has realized that these same tools and capabilities would be extremely useful to families and small groups and he set out to develop and create OrganizeUs.com. The OrganizeUs.com product is project management and collaboration applications designed and built for the rest of us.
